FORGED is a selective two-year training experience for youth leaders, designed to teach practical strategies and spiritual disciplines that increase the longevity and effectiveness of Salvation Army youth ministry leaders. This program is a partnership with Asbury University and is open to youth workers, corps assistants, youth department staff and other youth serving personnel.
What to expect in FORGED:
Small-Group Training: Forged participants meet (virtually) every quarter with their
Cohort and Leaders for teaching and discussion on topics such as:
Spiritual Formation and Personal Discipleship
Building and Growing Relational Youth Ministries
Replicating Leadership, Empowering a Team
Managing Crisis and Conflict
Personal Coaching: Participants will connect (virtually) every other month for one on one accountability and the development of an individual growth plan.
Retreats: Youth Leaders participate in three-weekend retreats at Asbury University.
Cost:
$2,800/yr to cover tuition, course materials, books, housing and onsite meals. which will be shared between the corps/unit, DHQ and THQ
